WHAT IS PGH FIELD HOCKEY?

Ali founded PGH Field Hockey in 2023 to help grow the game of field hockey in Western Pennsylvania. With a focus at the youth level, her intent is to help rising players learn the game and build a solid foundation. Whether you are brand new to the game or a returning player looking for more opportunities to play, PGH Field Hockey would love to have you join us!

​Get ready to be challenged at this summer's Survivor-themed field hockey camp! Open to new and returning players from all communities. A reversible pinny and t-shirt are included with registration. Sticks are available to borrow.

Pittsburgh Diocese​​​​​​​ Clinic
​*Hosted by Ave Maria Academy parent, Ali Gasperini.

Open to all girls enrolled in a Diocese of Pittsburgh School for the 2025-26 school year. Sticks are available to borrow. All players will need a mouth guard and shin guards.

Information forthcoming regarding youth and middle school teams for Diocese girls in Grades 3-8 for this coming Fall.

ABOUT ALI
Player, Teacher, Coach
Ali grew up in Lancaster County and began playing field hockey in 3rd grade. She continued her field hockey career at the University of Michigan, where she was a Team Captain and NCAA National Champion her senior year. Before starting a family, Ali was an elementary teacher and varsity field hockey head coach who guided her players to a WPIAL Championship. She uses her own personal experiences and knowledge of the game to plan fun, engaging instruction at each training session.
